Exposition: This short story doesn't have an actual exposition. Wisteria (the main girl) is at home late at night with nothing to do, got on internet and met Midnight (later to be known as Cameron) through online chat.
Inciting Incident: Wisteria and Midnight starts to chat daily, on 12am sharp. Midnight shares about his life story with Wisteria day by day, and they have become close friends.
Rising Action: Midnight tells Wisteria his story with Amy, the reason he committed suicide. Wisteria can't deny the fact that Midnight is actually a ghost anymore, but they are still good friends.
Climax: Wisteria finds out that Midnight is not fully "dead" yet, she convince Midnight to go back to his body and come visit her again.
Fall Action: Midnight went back to his body, haven't visit in a long time. Wisteria misses Midnight a lot, and got a cold after Midnight left.
Resolution: Midnight finally comes and visit Wisteria at her school right before her final, and they start dating with Midnight known as Cameron (Midnight's real name).

Daisy,
ReplyDeleteThis story is so very gothic! I love the names you have chosen for the characters! I'm a little confused about a few things:
1.) How are you going to explain Midnight's ability to go back into his body and why does Midnight have this ability? Do all ghosts have this ability, or is there something that happened to him that allows him to travel between the living and the dead?
2.) Does Midnight choose to go back into his body because of Wisteria? What about the other people from Midnight's former life, like his parents? How will he explain himself when he enters Wisteria's school? By the way, this is all very Twilight-esque, like the Cullens pretending to be a family, which leads me to the next question:
3.) Will Midnight age? Won't their differences cause conflicts in their relationship? Remember that conflict is what makes a story interesting. Don't make it too easy for your characters to be happy.
Good job!

OMG! I want to know more! I guess u're the only one that did something related to ghosts.

@ Ms. Mason:
ReplyDelete1.) Midnight is just a soul that's out of his body while his body is still in the coma. All he has to go is to go back to the hospital and stay in his body.
2.) Yes, Midnight is going back to his body because of Wisteria, they are in love. I'm not mentioning Midnight's family in this story at all... The only characters in this story are Wisteria, Midnight, and Amy. You'll see what happen when Midnight meets Wisteria at her school. :D
3.) Yes, Midnight still ages as he is out of his body... he's not fully dead yet, just in the coma. The only difference they had was the fact that Midnight is a ghost, that's why Midnight choose to go back to his body with the risk of forgetting Wisteria and hoping that he will keep his memory of Wisteria and be back with her.
@ Tenzin: Haha, yeah... I'm probably the only person in the class who will come up with this kind of strange relationship. xP
ReplyDeleteOh, just a side note...
ReplyDeleteI'm not that much of a big fan of the Twilight saga. :P
