Hey there! :D It wouldn't be a surprise when your story is about MUSIC!
ReplyDeleteI'm just a little confused about the flu part? Does the young man die because of the flu he gets infected from the soloist? Or is it another sickness of his? Also, when the soloist tries to take back his position in the orchestra, would it cause any trouble to the boy?
Your story is going to be awesome and sad... :) Looking forward to reading it!
What happens to the soloist eventually?
ReplyDeleteToai:
ReplyDeleteWell, this is a decision I have to make.
If it was the soloist, people will hate her/him.
But that was what I was thinking about.
Vivian:
Well, that's something I'll have to decide. :P
Hi Annie,
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting story about the competitive world of professional music. I agree with the other people who commented that the soloist part of the plot line is kind of left hanging. Are we to believe that the illness contracted by the boy and the young man was the doing of the soloist? I mean, is this going to be a story about intense jealousy populated by people who will do anything to win, sort of like the "Black Swan"? Characterization is going to be especially important in this story. You need to show that these people are driven and competitive. Also, if the soloist is going to be the antagonist, you to decide whether he will be purely evil or somewhat sympathetic. Lastly, it would help to give your characters some back story. What drove them to music in the first place? What makes them so competitive?
